FEM: Virtual Teams
October 14, 2010Pro-Link GLOBAL will be attending the Forum for Expatriate Management's monthly networking meeting on 14 October. The focus of this meeting is virtual working. In many industries staff are increasingly internationally mobile and may work for consecutive periods in several different countries.
Some employers are also actively encouraging home working but are they prepared for a UK employee to interpret home as being another country in the EU?
The FEM has organised speakers who are expert in UK/international employment law and tax issues - there are no immigration experts presenting.
Sophy King, Director Knowledge Management for Pro-Link GLOBAL will be in attendance, however, and will be happy to discuss the immigration implications of virtual working with other attendees. Pro-Link GLOBAL has a policy of virtual offices - we understand the challenges, and the benefits of working in this way, and we find the implications for immigration regulations very interesting.
